They don’t want to know if you have the right qualifications or skills.
Take your chances.
You’ll get the best possible results by looking for people who can help you.
That means finding opportunities that are easy for you to fill.
So do it in a way that will give you the most success.
For instance, consider asking about work experiences.
If you can give them a brief description of how you’ve worked in the past, they might think you’re ready to apply for the job.
If they see you have a strong interest in the industry and are willing to talk to you about it, you might be a good fit.
And if you can offer a quick summary of what you can do as an engineer or product designer, they’ll be more inclined to hire.
Don’t be afraid to ask about other skills.
If your interviewer has an interest in your skills, it could help to ask them if they have any experience in the area they’re interested in.
For example, you could say something like, “I’ve worked with engineers in the software industry for a number of years, and I can show you some of the projects I’ve worked on.”
