The Nokia-Microsoft deal is expected to close this week, according to sources close to the talks.
Microsoft is expected in a presentation on Monday to announce that the two companies will merge their respective business units, according a person familiar with the matter.
The deal, which would create a global technology giant with $27 billion in revenue and a market capitalization of $13.2 billion, is expected for a total value of $25.2bn, according the person.
The person said that the deal could be finalized as soon as Monday.
A Nokia executive who asked not to be named said that a final deal would not be announced until after the Microsoft deal closes.
It is also expected that the Nokia-MSI deal would be finalized within a few days.
Microsoft has already said it is close to an agreement with Nokia on a licensing agreement.
Nokia’s chief executive has said the company’s strategy will shift away from selling smartphones and onto the software-as-a-service (SaaS) business.
